Myriad Media & Carolina Cobras Implement Interactive Marketing Program For 2002 Season

(Research Triangle Park, NC - May 3, 2002) - The Carolina Cobras (www.CobrasFootball.com) announce today that they have selected Myriad Media, a Raleigh-based digital media agency, to implement an aggressive interactive marketing program for the 2002 season. Myriad Media is providing strategy, content creation and digital delivery of game highlights, special features on Snake Charmers, fans and an interactive CD to promote the team to area businesses and organizations.

"The content Myriad Media creates and delivers, such as Snake Charmers TV, does a great job driving fan traffic to our web site and building interest in the team. At the same time, the interactive CD they developed has been a powerful part of helping us develop new partnerships and relationships with key sponsors," said Nathan Boudreaux, Cobras Director of Media Relations.

Internet tracking data indicated that last year the Snake Charmer's dance routines were the most popular download with fans. Based on this research, Myriad created a strategy to help the Cobras gain exposure and drive more traffic to their web site by creating "Snake Charmers TV." This fourteen part-weekly web video series, gives fans a behind the scenes look at the women who make up the team. The series will also be delivered via e-mail, thereby multiplying the results from the team's investment to create the content. "Adding this to our web site has continued its evolution into one of the premier sites in the Arena Football League," said Boudreaux.

"The Carolina Cobras have an ideal product to promote using digital strategy, content and delivery," said Will Feichter, President of Myriad Media. "This formula reinforces their brand in a compelling way, drives business based on what the viewer is watching and contains content the viewer can't find elsewhere. Plus, their audience is loyal and typically has broadband Internet access. Those things make up a prescription for success using digital content."

"The CD provided us with a sales and marketing tool that brought to life the excitement of Cobras football and helped us attract the attention of companies that had been out of reach in the past, said Brian French, Cobras Executive Director of Sponsorship Sales. "It was no coincidence that we secured our two biggest partnerships in franchise history shortly after we implemented the CD into our sales program."
