Carolina Cobras, Myriad Media Team Up
Raleigh, NC, May 18, 2001 - The Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League and digital media agency, Myriad Media, announced an agreement today. The partnership between the two will help transform the Cobra's web site into one of the leading web sites in the AFL.
The Cobra's official site has added Myriad Media's streaming video capability. It now features game highlights, player and coach interviews and dance team routines from every Cobra's home game. The Web site was developed by Design Nation.
"The addition of streaming video has made our site one of the premier web sites in the Arena Football League," Cobras Director of Media Relations Nathan Boudreaux said. "After home games fans can log on to watch streaming video of game highlights, player and coach interviews."
By using on-line streaming video clips, users are able to experience the game of arena football at their convenience. The site also contains a special fan feature, where fan reactions and interviews are placed on the site each week.
"Having streaming video on the site offers an excellent tool to reach those fans and potential sponsors who have never been able to experience an Arena Football game," Boudreaux added.
"Using video to show the energy and excitement of Cobras football was a natural," said Myriad Media President Will Feichter. "It really makes the site function as their very own interactive TV channel. It's a great example of the way things are trending."
Along with the streaming video aspect, the new Cobra's site features daily news updates on the team, player and dance team information, as well as league-wide statistics.
