Myriad Media Wins Award for Creative Excellence

Raleigh, NC, December 26, 2000 - Raleigh-based digital media agency, Myriad Media has been awarded the 2000 Bronze Quill Award from the International Association of Business Communicators. The IABC NC Triangle Bronze Quill Awards recognize creative excellence in communications.

Myriad's video entry for Appalachian State University titled "Campaign for the Second Century" celebrated university achievements throughout its 100 year history. The video was designed as part of an ambitious fundraising campaign. ASU Chancellor Frank Borkowski says the financial goal of $50 million has been far exceeded and the video remains an integral part of the ongoing campaign effort. The dollars will support various student based initiatives that increase the quality of education for young people.

"The video contributed, and continues to contribute, substantially to the success of the campaign which concludes December 2001," Chancellor Borkowski said. "We are very pleased (at Appalachian State University) to have been selected to receive the IABC Bronze Quill Award for our video."

Specific campaign funds will be used to increase endowment funds, improve athletic facilities, equip a state-of-the-art music recording studio, create a visual arts center, upgrade technology, plus expand scholarships, fellowships and research grants.
